Sweet Lucy: Pritchard's you got some splainin' to do

I shouldn't complain when something is exactly as they describe it on the bottle.

"Born in a duck blind and a frequent companion on duck hunts, variations of Sweet Lucy were generally homemade elixirs of peaches, oranges and apricots with lots of sugar and whiskey."

In other words, it's ridiculously sweet.  If you want bourbon, with a hint of fruit, like I was hoping for, then you'll be out of luck.  It can be salvaged by using it as a mixer with real liquor.  Hold the duck.

The Ethel Mertz cocktail:
1 shot Sweet Lucy
2 shots Bourbon
1/2 shot Cocci Americano
Lots of ice

Corazon Tequila Blanco

This post is inspired by national margarita day, because when I think of Ash Wednesday, I think of tequila, curaƧao and lime.  Hey, there's one thing that Tim Tebow and I have in common.

It'll be quick review.  It's got a nice light agave flavor with a hint of citrus.  Very drinkable over ice and mixes well.  And it's only in the $20-25 range, which is nice.

Belicheck and Coughlin bid each other, Adieu

Photo courtesy of NFL .com front page.  Seriously
Many take umbrage to the gruff nature of New England Patriot's coach Bill Belicheck, but few can understand the pain of losing both the Super Bowl, and true love.
